Dennis' 63 Impala

Eddie Barrett - Friday, December 11, 2015

We have been doing a lot of  mechanical work to this 1963 Impala since the last update. We have converted the brakes to high performance Wilwood four wheel disc brakes, as well as hand made the brake lines. Our certified master technician Dan has perfected these brake lines to fit around the 409  engine, like they are factory. He has also hand made the fuel line, and redesigned it to fit with the header clearance. Dan has also finished up the wiring throughout the car, and has tucked it all away for a clean look. Check out the photos below!

Regular headers don’t have the  full potential to transfer the sufficient exhaust gas at high engine speeds, that is needed for this 425 hp Resto Mod beast. So Dan has redesigned the headers and installed a header collector mounting system in the vehicle for higher rpm power gains.

We have also began to dynamat the floors for a few reasons; One is to reduce cabin noise from the motor, another reason is dynamat  plays a very important role to make the speakers sound good and not muffled, this means that the car will have  crystal clear sound quality. Lastly, we are using dynamat to keep things from vibrating and rattling, which makes an overall difference in driving this bad ass Impala.

First start up after the new; motor, transmission, and custom brake and fuel lines!
