Once all the metal work is roughed in we always coat immediately in our rust inhibiting epoxy primer. The last thing we want is moisture under the paint.
You can see the doors are temperarily shaved, the drip rails shaved and the windshield mount completely re made.
A little behind the scenes look at dan building a contraption to make the door handles and locks work pre actual metal fabrication and installation.
Some of the worked areas are moving into black epoxy. This just helps us get a better feel of what the car will look like dark.
ok now it gets fun. We just cut out the original strut towers and are incorporating a totally new suspension design. This car needs to be able to perform exceptionally.
In the process of mocking up a wood template of the suspension to see what type of style and design we are going to end up with. Sometimes ideas look great on paper but need to be tweaked in real time.
A better shot of our mock up suspension in wood.
